Cook 6 strips of bacon in the oven at 400 degrees by laying it on a baking sheet for 13 minutes. Once the bacon is cooked and cooled down, use a knife to chop it up into small pieces.
While the bacon is cooking, cut the top and bottom of your peppers, and then slice them down the middle.
Then, using a spoon, you’re going to scrape the insides out, making sure that all the seeds are removed.
Next, you will make your filling by combining your cream cheese, bacon, grated cheese, cilantro, onion and BBQUE Texas Holy Grail Seasoning. You can do this by wearing gloves and mixing it well together with your hands (or putting it in your Kitchen Aid mixing bowl and letting it do the work!)
Then grab your jalapeño halves, spoon in your mix, add a little smokie and then roll them up in your crescent roll triangles of dough.
Bake them in the oven at 375 degrees until they’re a nice golden brown.
Let them cool off and enjoy!
Bonus pro tip! if you don’t mind doing a little extra work! Brush the Jalapeño Popper Pigs in a Blanket tops with egg and sprinkle them with some pretzel salt, sesame seeds, or poppy seeds! It will make them look even more appetizing! You can also cut your jalapeños and crescent roll dough up (we recommend using a pizza roller for the dough cutting) up into smaller bites if you want to get more appetizers out of your ingredients!
