Smoked Texas Chili Con Queso Dip
Y’all, this smoked Texas queso is fire! This cheesy, smoky snack is the perfect party starter. You’ll never eat it any other way now. This has such a unique and rich, smoky flavor.
Equipment
- 1 Cast iron pan
Ingredients
- 1 lb Maple sausage
- 2 cans Rotel diced tomatoes
- 1 package cream cheese
- 1 lb Cheddar cheese block style
- 32 oz Velveeta/queso cheese
- 3 tbsp
BBQUE TEXAS Holy Grail Seasoning - 15 oz H-E-B Creamy Poblano pasta sauce
- 12 oz Fredericksburg Farms South Texas Salsa Verde hot
- ½
cup Mexican cream - 1 cup Purple onion
- ¾ cup Cilantro
- ¾ cup Green onion
Instructions
- Start with browning that maple sausage first in a pan.
- Cut the block of cheddar cheese and Velveta into small cubes.
- Chop up the cilantro and onions.
- Add the ingredients together into a large cast iron pan. Add block the cream cheese, two cans of Rotel, can of green salsa verde, half a cup of Mexican cream, and our BBQUE TEXAS Holy Grailseasoning.
- Add the creamy poblano sauce and then maple sausage.
- Set cast iron the grill! Smoke the queso low and slow at 225 degrees for 2 hours, while stirring occasionally.
- Serve this cheesy Texas queso with your favorite tortilla chips and dig in!
