Best-Ever Jalapeño Poppers
Every time we make these BBQUE Texas Jalapeño Poppers, people tell us they are the best poppers theyhave ever had and beg us for the recipe! These poppers are the ultimate party appetizer, and have a few secret ingredients that make them stand out from the crowd. Be ready to be the biggest hit at your party! These will be the talk of the partyand disappear FAST!
- 1 lb Maple breakfast sausage
- 3 8oz boxes Cream cheese
- 2 bushels Cilantro
- 20 Whole jalepenos
- 2 packages Bacon
- 2 Shallots minced
- 2 tbsp BBQUE TEXAS Here Piggy Piggy
Brown1 pound of maple sausage.
Mince up the shallots, and the two heads of the cilantro bushels.
In a large bowl, add the BBQUE TEXAS Here Piggy Piggy, cream cheese, cilantro and shallots tothe maple sausage. Mix all the ingredients together
Place the cream cheese mixture in the refrigerator to firm up.
Wearing gloves, slice the cap off all the jalapenos and slice them in halfhorizontally. Remove the seeds and veins from both halves.
Cut the bacon strips in half.
Stuff each jalapeno half with the mixture (hands work best over a spoon),and then wrap each half with a piece of bacon.
Cook on a smoker or grill at around 250° until the bacon is fully cooked.
