Citrus Glazed Turkey Breast

Ingredients
Brine Ingredients
- 2 Boneless turkey breasts
- 1.5 cups BBQue Texas Cluckin’ GoodPoultry Rub
- 2 cans Chicken stcock
- 1 tbsp Onion powder
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 1 cup Molasses
- 1 cube Chicken bullion
Glaze Ingredients
- 1/2 cup BBQue Texas Cluckin’ GoodPoultry Rub
- 1 cup BBQue sauce (your preferred brand)
- 1 cup Pineapple Orange Juice
Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 275 degrees.
- Combine ingredients for brine in a saucepan, mix well and bring to a soft boil then set in the fridge to cool.
- Once the brine has cooled add the brine mixture and the turkey breasts to a Ziplock bag and set in the fridge for 1 hour (minimum).
- While the turkey is in the brine, add ingredients for the glaze mixture to a squeeze bottle, mix well, and set aside.
- Once the turkey has been in the brine for 1hour, remove the turkey breasts, RINSE WELL!
- Prepare a baking sheet with 3 or 4 pats of butter, sprinkle some more Cluckin’ Good Poultry Rub over the butter pats, and then place the turkey breasts on the sheet and score with a sharp knife as seen in the picture.
- Season the tops of the turkey with another generous layer of Cluckin’ Good Poultry Rub and set the baking sheet on the pre-heated smoker.
- Allow them to smoke for approximately 1 hour or until the internal temperature is 155.
- Apply a generous amount of glaze, wait 15 minutes and apply the glaze again.
- Once they have reached an internal temperature of 163 to 165 – remove them from the smoker and allow them to rest for 10 minutes.
